Een luchtpomp zie je wel zitten, ongeveer even groot als een dynamo en ook aangedreven door een V-snaar.

Op dit moment is het mij een raadsel wat dat ding is.
Is de wagen uitgerust met een geregelde kat en luchtpomp?

De leiding naar het oliecarter zou kunnen zijn om oliedruppels terug naar het carter te laten lopen, maar veel kan dat nooit zijn. Het kan ook omgekeerd zijn: door die leiding wordt lucht aangezogen. De lucht in de motorruimte staat enigszins onder druk, dat vergroot de menging met de uitlaatgassen in het spruitstuk (waar ook druk heerst).

De twee vacuumleidingen zorgen er voor dat de klep open en dicht gaat.
