Ik heb geleverd gekregen Texaco Geartex EP-B 85W90. Die heeft de volgende specs:

Geartex EР-B 85W-90 – mineral-based EP gear oil blended from high quality solvent refined paraffinic base oils and a high performance EP-additive package.

Application
Geartex EР-B 85W-90 is recommended for automotive gearboxes, steering boxes, transaxles and hypoid rear axles. Also recommended for hypoid, spiral bevel, 2-speed and all double reduction rear axles including worm gears, which specify an EP oil meeting API GL-5.

Certificates & approvals
ZF TE-ML-05A/07A/12A/16C/17B;
DaimlerChrysler 235.0; MAN 342;
API GL-5


EP staat voor Extreme Pressure. GL-5 is dus goed.

Het differentieel moet of 85W90 of 90 krijgen. Dunner is niet voorgeschreven.

Dat zou een tijd terug waar zijn maar inmiddels is bij de meeste grote fabrikanten gl5 aangepast waardoor het wel erin kan.
ik heb de laatste 10 jaar altijd GL5 gebruikt in alle wagens waarin ik reed en geen problemen. Wel valvoline.
Ook heb ik het wel eens open gemaakt; geen koper of brons te zien...

dus Valvoline GL5 80w90 bijvoorbeeld.
Of bijvoorbeeld MPM en andere ' kleine' oliehandeltjes ook zover hebben doorgedacht als valvoline weet ik niet.
Succes met de 14mm inbus, eerst vul daarna afloop los maken. Hou maar een stalen pijpje in de buurt als hefboom.
