Deze is meestal om het smeerbaar en minder broos te maken een 50% tin en 50% lood legering of afhankelijk van de specificaties bij benadering, hoe meer lood hoe minder broos. Lood maakt het wat rekbaarder tin alleen is relatief veel te hard en breekt snel..

Om het dan goed te kunnen smeren heb je ook een vloeimiddel nodig en daarvoor wordt dan paraffine gebruikt. Vroeger kon je dan gewoon kaarsevet gebruiken toen kaarsen nog van paraffine werden vervaardigt. Nu moet je dan echt specifiek op zoek gaan naar paraffine.

Deze techniek was vroeger heel gewoon toen er nog geen synthetische plamuurmiddelen bestonden. Ook oude loodgieters kennen dit nog uit de tijd dat er nog loden pijpen werden gebruikt als afvoerleiding om deze dan aan elkaar te solderen.. :)

een soort (metaal)pasta? ..wie kent dit spul?



heb mijn stuur vervangen van mijn 300D
een W126 stuur past prima maar is iets kleiner qua diameter
"even" de inbus schroef losschroeven eindige zo:
dolgedraaide inbus

les: loclite eerst warmstoken
deze schroef zat muuuuuuuuuuuuurvast ,met een linkse tap lukte het uiteindelijk :whistle:
