Waarom zit er eigenlijk een carterplug op je auto??
dat vraag ik me namelijk al tijden af.....

Antwoord:

Op je motor zit een bijvuldop voor de olie. Daar kan je verse olie in doen als dat nodig is. Om oude olie eruit te moeten halen moesten ze vroeger de auto ondersteboven houden maar omdat monteurs ook luie donders zijn hebben ze onderin een gaatje geboord om de olie eruit te laten lopen. Het probleem was dat er toen geen olie in bleef zitten dus hebben ze er een plug ingeschroefd en die hebben ze de carterplug genoemd omdat hij in je carter geplugged zit.
