De stangen over het kleppendeksel gaan naar de luchtklep die in de inlaat zit, en naar de eerder genoemde hevel rechts aan de bak voor de schakeldruk: bij weinig gas wordt bij laag toerental geschakeld, bij veel gas schakelt de bak bij een hoog toerental over.

De vacuüm slang die van de VCV naar de modulator hoort te gaan regelt de kwaliteit van schakelen: zacht en soepel bij weinig toeren, hard en bruusk bij veel toeren. Zonder de vacuüm aansluiting hangt de schakelkwaliteit af van de instelling van de modulator.

Mogelijke oorzaken voor de slechte schakelgang van 2 naar 3 zijn eerder al aangehaald, ik ga er vanuit dat de olie op peil is?

Wat weet je van de historie?
Was het eerst prima en opeens slecht?
Heeft de wagen jaren stilgestaan?
Oude filter en olie?

Ik heb eens een W114 automaat gehad. Heel weinig km's, echter na lange stilstand schakelde de bak Heel raar. Ik heb toen na nieuwe olie ook toevoeging van zo'n bekend garage merk toegevoegd (kom even niet op de naam). Steeds ging de bak mooier schakelen.
