Het nadeel is dat deze koelers als ze lek zijn er water in de olie komt, daarom is Mercedes er mee gestopt en overgestapt op olie lucht koelers

Ik en ons familie doen dit al 20 jaar. Zeker als de auto lang heeft stilgestaan. Tot nu toe geen motorschade ongeacht benzine of diesel. Even 1minuut laten draaien met koude motor en dan rustig wegrijden (onder de 2500 toeren) eerste 10km (diesel 20km)

En dan kan je toerental verhogen.

Let op motorolie duurt ongeveer dubbel zolang voordat het warm wordt in vergelijking met watertempratuur.

Toen ik mij Canada woonde hadnik een verwarmde oliepeilstok, echt een super systeem waarvoor je niets hoeft te monteren.
Ik heb ze niet meer kunnen vinden, daarom heb ik dat element gemonteerd. Die verwarmde peilstok was natuurlijk 110 volt en zat permanent in de wagen.
In mijn vorige post zit een pdf file met de gegevens van dat element.
