Heb je een radio met een aparte ingang voor je Ipod dan is dat natuurlijk het beste. Alternatieven zijn een casette-adapter of een FM zendertje. Zelf heb ik in mijn W123 altijd zo'n Belkin cassette-adapter gebruikt.

De FM zendertjes was ik nooit van gecharmeerd omdat teveel storing geeft.

Ik heb onlangs een zogenaamde FM Modulator aangeschaft:


Er zijn een paar belangrijke verschillen met een gewoon FM zendertje.

Deze modulator plug je direct in op de antenne. Je moet dus nog steeds je radio op een specifieke frequentie afstemmen. Maar omdat het signaal direct op je antenne ingang wordt gezet heb je geen last meer van storingen.

Deze modulator geeft ook via het RDS signaal de artist en titel door. Tenminste als je een RDS radio hebt. Bovendien laadt ie je I pod ook nog! Ik had al met al een paar uurtjes nodig om de boel in te bouwen. niet omdat het erg ingewikkeld is, maar omdat een Jaguar Brits is. Uit en in-bouwen is nogal een klus.

Inmiddels een paar uurtjes met mijn Ipod en FM modulator door Kansas getoert! Bevalt uitstekend. Als ik weer terug ben in Nederland ga ik dit zeker op mijn W123 installeren.
