Omdat ik min of meer hals over kop moest vertrekken, heb ik verder niet zoveel tijd gehad om goed na te denken over de opslag, speciale behandeling e.d. Het enige wat nog gelukt is om beide wagens te wassen! Meer niet!
Vorige week heeft een goede vriend van mij de W123 voor een ritje opgehaald. Had dus ruim 14 maanden stilgestaan. De accu was leeg. Maar met een nieuwe accu starte de W123 in een keer. Vervolgens spoot er een hoop benzine onderuit. Schijnbaar was de benzineslang ergens gesprongen. Hoe dat precies kan weet ik niet, want ik had alle slangen vervangen.
Maar na dit te hebben gerepareerd, zonder enig probleem een ritje van zo'n 60 kilometer gemaakt. Alles werkte nog, inclusief de Waeco Cruise Control. Geen probleem met de remmen. Geen probleem met de banden. Die moesten wel worden opgepompt, maar verder geen probleem, niet vierkant oid.
Al met al geen slecht resultaat na 14 maanden stilstand, zonder speciale maatregelen. Binnenkort is de Spider aan de beurt. Ben benieuwd of Italiaanse makelij zich net zo goed houdt als Duitse tijdens langdurige stilstand.
Mijn Spider heeft regelmatig maanden stilgestaan zonder enige problemen, 14 maanden is natuurlijk een ander verhaal.
