Starten en lopen, meteen (dankzij de druppelaar!). Banden nog goed op spanning en rustig de motor op temperatuur laten komen. Daar ik dagelijks in een Panda 100HP rijd, is dit weer even wennen. Diep zitten, wat losjes in het stuur en laaaaaaaange schakelwegen. Maar ook de rust en de ingebouwde veiligheid. Alles werkte weer meteen.
Met wat kilometers even de auto 'uitgelaten' op de A59. Met mij reed een grijze-muis Passat TDI van zo'n jaar of 9 oud fel mee. Groene platen, een handelaar. Bij hem ineens...PLOF...Heel veel zwarte rook. Alarmlichten aan en kruipend op de vluchtstrook. Dáááááág VW!
De 280E ging echter steeds BETER rijden, dankzij alle onderhoud van de afgelopen maanden. Goed onderhoud is zóóóó belangrijk.
De enorme trekkracht in zijn 4 (hoogste verzet) bleef me verbazen. Wat een heerlijke ingetogen kracht.
Maar ook lekker relaxed zoeven door het dorp. Bij de Albert Heijn aangesproken door twee stoffige Polen. Kijken, rondhangen. "Auto verkaufen?", vroeg de stoffigste.
"Nein, das ist ein Familienstück!", was het oprechte antwoord.
Want dat is 'ie.
Daarna weer de Becker aan, afspraakje gemaakt voor de APK en weer naar het honk. Wat een fantastische auto!
Dat het maar snel ècht voorjaar mag worden.... :-) :-)
