Ik zal me even aan jullie voorstellen. Ik heet Ignat, woon in Rotterdam en ben sinds een week de bezitter van een Mercedes W123/280. Eindelijk, kun je in mijn geval wel zeggen. Volgens mijn moeder was het eerste wat ik , 48jaar geleden en voor het eerst alleen buiten, opgewonden tegen haar zei: “Mam, er staat een Mercedes in de straat.”

Auto’s, ik heb er tientallen gehad, ook een paar oldtimers waaronder een amazone b18 .Op dit moment heb ik naast een saaie Ford Fusion automaat, waar voornamelijk mijn vrouw in rijdt, nog een heel goed c-kadett-je op LPG . De kadett bevalt me zo goed dat ik verder ben gaan kijken naar een geschikte auto op gas, waarbij mijn voorkeur uitging naar een motor met carburateur. Nadat ik de nodige volvo’s had gezien en de vonk niet echt oversprong dan toch eindelijk bij Mercedes uitgekomen. Ik heb alles gelezen en ben op zoek gegaan naar een W123 met een M110 motor. Uiteindelijk heb ik een mooi en goed exemplaar gevonden en ben er trots op als een pauw van drie jaar. Ik hoop via dit forum het nodige te leren over deze prachtige auto.
