Leuke gimmick wel:
German WW2 Mercedes Benz drivers' complete uniform, probably for a factory truck driver. Extremely rare uniform I once owned that I am glad to offer again. Uniform includes visor cap, tunic and breeches in black/white speckled material used by civilian drivers during the Third Reich. This particular uniform is done in the cut of the Reichsbahn uniform and exhibits collar tabs similar to the Reichsbahn, but in silver. The shoulder boards are the same color as the uniform, but are piped in black. The collar is a smooth black and the tabs are backed in black velvet. The tunic is piped down the front in black. Buttons are pebbled silver. On the left breast pocket in an original 30s/40s Mercedes Benz logo stickpin. On the left sleeve is a white and red machine embroidered on black, specialty patch for a truck driver. (a rare patch itself, I have never seen it before) It is zig zag machine sewn to the tunic. Tunic is about a US size 40. Included are the matching breeches, which have loops for a belt, buttons for suspenders and also adjustment buckles on the sides. Watch pocket is there. Waist size is about up to 40". I have saved the best for last, the visor cap. It is done in matching black/white speckled whipcord wool. It has a beautiful high peak in the front. The band is oakleaf embroidered. The visor is the Luftwaffe style with the oilcloth covered edge. The chinstrap is leather with oval buckles. On the front is the Mercedes Benz logo, with their name and oakleaves. The patch in machine embroidered in white and red on black! (I'll bet they haven't used those colors since the fall of the Reich!). Interior of the cap is a silver rayon with clear small celluloid diamond and alkor sweatband. Size is about a 56. One of a kind, unique. Interesting to note that the cap is similar to the civilian driver cap for the army, described on page 41 of "Headgear of Hitler's Germany" vol1, by Halcomb & Saris. Whole uniform at the price of the what the cap or tunic is worth! $2499
