Alles omtrent de carrosserie en de buitenkant, zoals bijv. spuiten, roest, plaatwerk, lassen maar ook spiegels, rubbers en chroom, ruitenwissers etc.

Hallo mede Benzers,
Helaas is mijn fijne Engels-rode (kleurcode 504) 240D is het slachtoffer geworden van een kraspen oid.
Er zit een diepe kras op het panel rechts voor. De kras zit op het metaal (zie foto) en is bijna een halve millimeter dik.
Ik vroeg me af wat ik hier precies aan zou kunnen doen, om evt verder roesten te voorkomen.
Alvast bedankt voor eventuele suggesties.

Ja asap idd, helaas zie ik de lak al een beetje bobbelen. Zou ik daarom de bobbelende lak in de gleuf (lees: kras) met een dremel weg moeten halen? En dan het bovenste deel van het panel opnieuw spuiten? Bedankt.

Eerst maar es schuren dan is het geheel beter te zien. Vaak is de eventuele roets opervlakkig in het begin. Duurt wel even voor het "intrekt" Denk dat je het beste droog kan schuren.

Veel schuren idd. Ik vroeg met ook af hoe je dit eventueel weer kan spuiten.
Kleurcode: 504
Ik zat te denken aan:
1) spuitbus lak laten aanmaken op basis van de kleurcode. Bovenkant panel spuiten. - maar bestaat er dan niet het gevaar dat de kleur te donker is (ondanks dezelfde kleurcode), misschien door een verkeerde spuit techniek?
2) spuitbus lak laten aanmaken op basis van een kleurenscanner. Bovenkant panel spuiten
3) een lakstift laten aanmaken en een aantal keer over de diepe kras heen gaan?
Oftewel: Hoe ga ik dit varkentje wassen?

Denk dat je het beste kan beginnen met het kaal en in de grondverf te zetten. dan is het voor nu safe !

uit een spuitbus want ik meng dat spul op mn werk (aerosol factory )

Maar voor nu direct;
je gaat naar de restauratiedoos van de vrouw, men neme een flesje rode nagellak, evt kleurloos, men brenge het aan op de kras! Zo roest het niet en kan je rustig alle andere oplossingen bekijken

ruim er omheen zal het toch wel worden. Je zit toch dat je het met spuiten moet "uitsmeren" om het eventuele kleur verschil zo min mogelijk te houden.
Denk dat het zo ongeveer zou moeten:
Kaal maken met wat dan ook.
Opvullen met plamuur.
Schuren met 180 dan 240 dan 320 dan 400 dan 500.
regelmatig even afnemen met wasbenzine en na het schuren wederom met wasbenzine.
NIET MET WATER op het kale metaal komen !! ! !
spuiten in de grond lak dan weer met 500 er overheen en afnemen naderhand met wasbenzine.
vervolgens de juiste kleur er over en de blanke lak.
Wil je het niet zo zwaar aanpakken dan geheel schuren met 400 dan met 500 met behoud van de bestaande lak dus er niet helemaal door heen. Grond verf over de kras en weer met 500 dan de kleur en blanke lak. Natuurlijk goed schoon maken tussendoor met wasbenzine.
Maar ik denk dat je op de langere termijn dan alsnog het kaal moet schuren.

Update.
Ik ben er aan begonnen en heb het volgende gedaan:
-Kaal schuren tot op het metaal (tot 0,5 cm rondom de kras)
-Lichten opschuren met korrel 1000
-Roest omvormer en laten drogen
-Licht opschuren met korrel 1000
-Primer met Filler (als grondlaag)
Zie foto. Hier en daar zijn nog wat witte resten van afplaktape
